This is a well loved vintage 1970s Abu Ambassadeur 2500C in great working condition, but with worn cosmetics. The reel had lost it's original foot, and I have replaced the cage with a genuine Abu replacement part (no foot number). A very hard to find part these days (and expensive). The handle is also a new replacement part for a 1990s Ambassadeur 2500. The ball bearings are upgraded to new hybrid ceramics and the drag washers are new carbon fiber parts. The reel has been completely stripped and cleaned and is mechanically in very good condition (with the inherent idiosyncrasies of an original, unmodified 2500C). The gears, including the worm gear, are healthy with very little wear. The reel has a name and phone numer engraved at the undersides of the side plates.
